More chicks are hatching today. They come out of the shell with goo and umbilical tails and their pink skin showing through their wet, matted first feathers. How cells grow in three weeks from scrambled-egg eggs into little breathing critters eating goo from each other’s heads is beyond me. It’s kinda like a chunk of cheddar cheese turning into a fluffy kitten. Cute? Yeah, buckets of cute.
