Our Canadian boy, Ryan Heshka, has obviously ripped his style from 1920s and 30s illustration and animation. What was he, a sickly child and his parents mainlined him with codiene cough medicine and made him watch old Betty Boop cartoons? What’s cool is he’s reproduced not just an era of illustration, but the feel of rediscovery of a weird old favorite. Note the folds in the paper in the middle pic.
