This comes from the soundtrack to the film More, an album I played more than any other Pink Floyd I owned, and pre-Dark Side of the Moon, I owned them all. With the exception of the anomalous second tracks on each side of the record, this is a perfect and perfectly cohesive musical accomplishment. From Dark Side of the Moon on, I was happy the band could make a few dollars from their extraordinary talents, and though I admired the recording technology almost more than the music, it wasn’t to my taste. My happy places in their music were spread across half a dozen of their earlier records, like this one.
