For the second time this week (and it’s only Tuesday) I’ve received a telemarketing call from Bell Systems’ Solo Mobile trying to sell me their “Extreme Wireless Solution”. The first time they called, I explained that I was on the National Do Not Call List and asked them never to call again. So when they phoned again this morning, I was not amused. I grilled the caller about his company, his name, and where he was calling from and I recorded the VOIP number his system was using. The number is 780-424-5841, and if you google it, you’ll see others have been hit by telemarketers from this number in the middle of the night.
Anyway, with all my data ammo, I thought I’d try making a complaint to the Do Not Call List people this morning. And wow, was that ever a pleasant experience. Without any fuss or waiting, a live person took the details of my complaint and made it plain that my info might be used by law enforcement to bring criminal charges against Bell Systems. I was totally tickled.
Thank you NDCL! I now get a little surge of nationalistic pride when I think of you. Keep up the good work!
And hey, Bell Systems? Rotate!
