Well, finally, we’ve finished our new little endtable. I built it about a month ago and did the staining of the top and legs. My wife wanted to paint the box and she finished it today. Pretty nifty, eh?
The top is fir, the legs hemlock and the box is oak. It’s stained to match the window casings and fireplace trim. Since we got this new couch, the only thing that fit in that little corner were stacked cardboard boxes with a board on top. The table isn’t the most elegant piece of furniture on the planet, but hey, I looked hard for something in furniture stores and came up with scratch, so I figure homemade will do.
