You know, as much as I love great art, I can’t help but wonder what happens to it after it’s made and displayed. Do people buy these things and put them in their houses? What if the livingroom and den and foyer are already full? I don’t think I’d want that old dude in my kitchen, all nekid and over-ripe with pathos. Maybe, if nobody buys it, the artist has to take it back and store it with sixty other old dudes in their studio loft. Do they take them all out for parties? Make ’em hold coats?
OK, I’ll shut up now.
