I honestly can’t say enough about this man’s compositional skills. His melodies just kill me, and I think what gets to me is, he treats rhythm in his melodies as emotive forces. He’s like Donovan in that regard, able to use a shift to triplets, for instance, as a way to color a lyric the way you’d color a tune with a chord change.
