You never really know how much muck a critter generates over a winter until spring arrives. In my experience that goes for dogs, cows, and horses. But I’m sure any beastie whose poop can be hidden only by a major snowstorm will surprise the spring shoveller. Yes, the bugs and flies and creepy-crawlies will love this vast quantity of sodden plop. But I’m beginning to think the great Circle of Life that everyone talks about is actually a sphincter.
