I’ve been building two more arks for the chickens. These ones are six foot square A frames out of pressure-treated 2x4s and 1″ chicken wire. The element of awesomeness about the design is that I’ve left a two foot chicken wire skirt all around so that weasels and foxes can’t dig into it without an awful lot of trouble. Tomorrow it’ll be warm enough to put the adult chickies in there. That will be a happy day for all. Them, cause they get to be outside after the long winter. Me, because I’ll be finished the dang things. Hey, there’s nothing better than completing a project and putting your feet up with a Stella. Speaking of which . . .
