Why are there so many artists obsessed with their childhood toys? I mean, I get it – in the big picture of nostalgia and the pining for what’s been lost. But why not just do one cool art project in that style and go on to other stuff? The world’s big and life is short!
Sorry, I’ll shut up now. I really do love these images. I especially love the level of detail – like the rust dripping from the turquoise metal. Awesome. I just wish I won a big pile of dough and could give artists like this a big fat (18k) gold star. Or a trip to Caribbean or something.
